Cherry Bourbon Jam
Dark sweet cherries and straight Kentucky Bourbon give this jam a flavor reminiscent of a well made Manhattan. Although the alcohol cooks out, real bourbon gives this jam a richness that balances the sweetness of the cherries without overpowering their flavor.
I can't think of a better way to enjoy cherry bourbon jam than on a nice thick piece of multigrain toast with lots of butter. I once served it at a cocktail party on crackers with cream cheese and a thin slice of tender beef to rave reviews.
